I visited my parents yesterday, and we went on a pokéwalk to the park. The Pokemon GO experience is getting really realistic.

She is getting so big!!!

How long does it take peafowl to grow up, and when are they considered mature?

They are about halfway to their full size by 4-6 months, they aren’t fully grown until about 6 years, and they’re considered “mature” at around 3* years. The time between 3 and 6 years old is mostly putting on a last little bit of size and maturing hormones/reproductive functions (for example, most 2 and 3 year old hens won’t go broody, but usually by 4 they will). Males will continue to get a longer, fuller train between 3 and 6 years old, and by the time they’re 6 they’re pretty much as good as they’re going to get.

*There’s a small trick when talking about peafowl age: they all turn a year older together on the same day, January 1st. So, even though Bug was born in June, on Jan 1st she will be a yearling. On Jan 1st 2025, she would be called a two year old. So peafowl are considered “mature” by their third January, regardless of if they are physically actually 3 years old.
